You can now play chess on Facebook messenger.
Yes, that’s right. If you’re tired of talking to your friends you can take them on in the cerebral game.
But the way you access FBChess is hush, hush.
That’s the easy part but figuring out how to move the pieces takes a bit more work.
First we’ll give you the key:
K for king
Q for queen
B for bishop
N for knight
R for rook
P for pawn
You now have to select where the piece is going to move by using the corresponding letters (lower-case) and numbers.
If you want a pawn to move up you type @fbchess Pb3’ (look above).
It’s simple, but if you do get into difficulty you can type ‘@fbchess help’ to get a few pointers.
