Bored of cute cats? Had enough of bleating goats? Then let us introduce the Mangalica (sometimes spelt Mangalitza) pig.
These cuddly creatures look a bit like a pig/sheep hybrid and photos of unusual-looking animals are proving to be a hit online.

The Mangalica breed is also known as the woolly pig or, rather aptly, the sheep pig, because of their thick curly coats.

They were on the brink of extinction in the early 90s, with the number of sows left recorded at less than 150 in 1993, according to the British Pig Association (BPA).
The breed of pig was imported to the UK in 2006 and is now farmed on large units in Hungary after a group of dedicated breeders helped save them from extinction.
They are “lively and friendly”, according to the BPA, and have strong maternal instincts.
The Welsh Mangalitza breeders explain: “Their popularity is down to a full market appeal. They have everything. Fantastic meat quality, cute looks and the ability to survive in the toughest environments.
"The Mangalitza is incredibly hardy and copes very well with unfavourable circumstances and thrives here at altitude in the Cambrian Mountains!
“There are three distinct types within the breed known as colours, but these types are far deeper in origin that just a different coat: the Blonde, the Red and the unique Swallow Bellied with its white underline.”

Meanwhile, an adorable orphaned raccoon named Pumpkin, who happens to thinks she’s a dog, has taken Instagram by storm.
“She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go,” her owner told The Dodo.
“She now thinks she is a dog,” she added. “She is able to play and be rough with them and she respects them when they have had enough.”
