OnePlus has announced that it's permanently knocking £50 off the price of its flagship OnePlus 2 handset.
The Snapdragon 810-powered smartphone which impressed us with its bang-for-buck value and snappy fingerprint scanner in our review initially launched at £300, making its new £250 price tag all the more tempting. The company also abolished its invite system for the handset last December, letting anyone who wanted one snap one up easily.
If you're feeling bitter about buying a OnePlus 2 recently then you might be in luck - OnePlus will refund the difference if you bought a OnePlus 2 within the last 15 days. The company is also offering free cases and covers with each purchase ahead of Valentine's Day.
There's no mention of a price cut for the mid-range OnePlus X (unsurprising given its more recent launch), but if a £50 difference between the two handsets isn't too much for you to swallow, then the OnePlus 2 could be a decent choice if you're after a solid handset that won't cripple your wallet.

Oh, and don't forget the upcoming LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7, iPhone 6c or iPhone 7. It's going to be a busy year
