A child survivor who hid in a tree said he could hear other children scream while being burned alive by Boko Haram militants, during the jihadist group’s latest siege.
Young witness Alamin Bakura also said that, from his hiding place, he could see the extremists firebomb huts in his village, Dalori in northeastern Nigeria.
The horrific attack lasted for four hours, and several of Alamin’s family members were either killed or badly wounded.

And the violence wasn’t contained within Dalori. Three female suicide bombers detonated themselves among people who had managed to flee to neighbouring Gamori village.
Many people died in the bombing, according to a soldier speaking on condition of anonymity.

It is not yet known how many people were killed because charred bodies are still being collected from the streets, according to Abba Shehu, a security guard helping to gather corpses in the wake of the massacre.

Since the Islamist uprising began six years ago, Boko Haram have killed around 20,000 people and have driven 2.5million from their homes.
At the end of last year they were named the world’s deadliest terror group.
